Johnny Shuggie Otis, born 30th November, 1953 in Los Angeles, California. The son of a famous band leader Johnny Otis, guitarist supremo, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, producer, signed to Epic records and released his debut solo album ‘Here Comes Shuggie’ in 1970, just 18 years old. Shuggie produced 2 more solo albums for Epic with ‘Freedom Flight’ 1971 which notably included the massively influential and much adored ‘Strawberry Letter 23′ single, and stellar album ‘Inspiration Information’ released 1975.
