Marzano Pizza to go and Rosenblum Cellars Zinfandel
Within the first year of it's opening, even during this economic rollercoaster, Marzano set up a second location. Anyone who's gone can't get enough of the authentic, fire-baked pizzas. The crispy, semolina-dusted crust and divine combination of local cheeses and homemade roasted tomato sauce on the classic pizza - just one of the seasonal options at this top notch restaurant - will inspire dreams of driving fast through the streets of Rome, or flying around the winding alleys in a hill town to the north… Add to that a sip of a fine Rosenblum zinfandel, this renown winery's most crafted and loved variety, and you are on your way to a taste bud wonderland. Relax, kick back, and enjoy casual, rustic dining dappled with a haute cuisine attitude and a vintner's best bottle.
Marzano
This brand new restaurant is getting buzz from local and national publications - garnering a sought-after review by Gourmet Magazine in its first few weeks being open. Marzano is a beautiful and authentic Italian comfort eatery - and the dishes served under the blown-glass lamps are making waves in the East Bay food community. The same owners of popular Garibaldi's on College Avenue are behind this new asset to the Glenview scene, featuring plump octopus appetizers, fabulous fired pizzas, and great breadsticks. All the locals are glad to have a place for fine but casual food within walking distance, and others are happy to get an excuse to climb Park Boulevard and take part in such a delicate, well-prepared meal. If you are salt sensitive, request less salt when you order and they'll be happy to oblige.
