2011 Visit Oakland Photo Contest - The Results Are In!
Visit Oakland is pleased to announce this year's photo contest winners. We received a record number of entries this year - more than 600 photographs from dozens of photographers. Take a look at our Flickr Group for other photos that were submitted this year.
The photos chosen highlight Oakland as a visitor destination, from the exciting attractions, beautiful parks, thriving cuisine scene and more. A panel of judges determined the winning photographs based on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. Again, congratulations to this year's winners, including Matt Beardsley who earned the Grand Prize of $1,000. Visit Oakland distributed a total of $4,050 to the recognized photographers. Read more about the contest in our press release here.
