Visit Oakland hosts a select number of business meetings and events each year.

Visitor Guide Launch Party – November 3, 2011
Visit Oakland put together a fresh, modern visitor guide which highlights the best of Oakland. A celebration to introduce the guide and thank those who worked on the project was held at Make Westing in Uptown Oakland. Community members, photographers, board members, hotels, attractions and local City Officials were invited to join us in the celebration. Thanks to those of you who made it out to see our new guides, maps and postcards.

Restaurant Week – January 20-29 2012
Mark your calendars for Visit Oakland Restaurant Week, January 20-29, 2012, held in correlation with California Restaurant Month. Over 30 restaurants have signed up to participate. Visit Oakland will be working with Visit California, KGO, Open Table and Yelp to sponsor the event. For more information, please contact Lindsay at lindsay@visitoakland.org.

Hometown Host Mixer - March 2012

Visit Oakland Photo Contest – Summer 2012
An annual photo contest highlighting Oakland as a visitor destination, from the exciting attractions, beautiful parks, thriving cuisine scene and more. A panel of judges will determine the winning photographs based on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit.
